NYASLA & HDC are pleased to announce the 18th Annual Preservation Conference, "THE GREAT OUTSIDE: PRESERVING PUBLIC AND PRIVATE OPEN SPACES." This year's Conference will focus on significant open spaces and landscapes in New York City, including public parks, plazas, parkways, yards, planned communities and public housing. Participants will examine a variety of issues such as development history, current threats, preservation efforts and future use.

The annual Ecological Landscaping Association conference is coming up in a few weeks -- and that for the first time, it includes many sessions approved by LA CES for continuing education credits. (It also happens to be a great program and an easy drive from New York.)

The 2012 Annual Conference for the Society of Ecological Restoration Mid-Atlantic and Northeast Chapters will be held at Brooklyn College Student Center on March 23rd and 24th. Brooklyn College, in partnership with the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation, is hosting this next year's event. We're currently seeking abstracts for concurrent session talks and a poster session on the 23rd.
