The Emerging Professionals will be hosting their 2nd Annual Design Charrette competition on June 14th. Growing Up: Greening the Urban Canopy will center around greening NYC school rooftops as multi-purpose, accessible and functional urban oases. The charrette consists of a pre-charrette event on Saturday, June 9th and the competition on Thursday, June 14th. At the pre-charrette event, teams will convene and EP representatives will provide the assignment for the teams to gather inspiration over the course of the afternoon. On the competition day, teams will have 3 hours to design, followed by judging and a reception. The pre-charrette event and the design portion of the charrette are for team members only; the reception will be open to all.
Participants must sign up by June 8th and teams will be comprised of 4 individuals. All participants must attend BOTH the pre-charrette event on June 9th and the competition on June 14th. Participation is FREE, but space is limited to 10 teams so sign up early!
