Founded in 1899, American Society of Landscape Architects is the national professional association for landscape architects representing more than 14,200 members. New York State has two chapters: New York Upstate, representing the communities north of Westchester, and the New York Chapter, representing the New York Metropolitan-Long Island region. Landscape architecture is a comprehensive discipline of land analysis, planning, design, management, preservation, and rehabilitation.
