Based on a master plan completed in 1992, Queens West development is in the process of transforming a former industrial sector of Long Island City into a thriving, mixed-use community. This project is one of six residential parcels in the northern sector and is located on the site of a former bottling plant. The developer of this 262-unit building commissioned the design of an outdoor passive recreation area for exclusive use by residents. The one-acre roof deck is located on the ninth floor above a 600-car parking garage. An L-shaped residential building defines the perimeter of the terrace and allows residents aerial views onto the outdoor space.
